Located south of Seouls administrative boundary. Gwachon was originally designed to house the Second Governmental Complex and related population. Gwachon has become, like other similar developments in the capital region, a mere extension of Seouls outlying residential districts. Most of the residents commute to Seoul for jobs and other porposes by means of the convenient and rapid transport network. It was developed by the Korea National Housing Corporation.
