Moreshet was founded as a national- religious communal settlement in the Western Galilee,Israel. It has been under the jurisdical governance of Misgav Regional Council. The members of Moreshet, currently numbering around 170 families and many of them have Yeshiva background, have been settled in three phases up until 2006. After the fourth phase, it is projected that Moreshet will eventually accomodate around 450 families.
