Greenbelt, Maryland, was planned and realized within the Greenbelt program under President Roosevelt. The original Greenbelt program consisted of 8 New Towns. Eventually only 3 were built: Greenbelt (Maryland), Greenhills (Ohio) and Greendale (Wisconsin).
