Luano project was established in 2008, implemented by privates (Forum Proprieties) and developed by a South African corporation. It is located in Lubumbashi area, in proximity of the International Airport. The main purpose of the project is to attract foreign investments and to provide a model of new town, based on the principles of security, accessibility and efficiency. Phase 1 of Luano City is already in construction and it is expected to be completed by the end of 2016. It will provide the city with high quality apartments, an office park and a number of leisure and sports facilities.
